Hey everyone, here's a bit of background info: I recently installed Windows 10 on my Macbook so I could install and use Visual Studio for college. It installed perfectly and runs nicely, but I am not sure about how to actually run the programs so I can see the output. For example, on the PC's at college, we use Microsoft keyboards, and to run a Console Application or a Windows Forms Application, we press Ctrl + F6.
But this does not work on my Mac keyboard. Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea why? Is there some sort of extra piece of software I need to install first?
This may seem like an absolutely stupid question, but it is one I really need to ask. I have to find a way to be able to write and run a Visual Basic program on my Mac (Sierra).
I have downloaded Visual Studio Community, and have even installed the, although honestly I am not quite sure how to use it. I need to be able to write the VB code and create an editable form to work with it. I will need to compile it and run it on Mac, but I do not have to turn it into an executable. So, without Boot Camp or Parallels or anything like that, is there ANY way to get Visual Basic, as described above, to work on Mac Sierra?
Get Visual Studio Code up and running on Mac (macOS). Run.NET application on MAC operating system (MACBOOK) Rate this: Please Sign up. I have a desktop application that I created in.NET 4.0 framework using Visual Studio 2010 and MSSQL 2008 server. Your chance of being able to run on Mac is probably fairly high. Otherwise, it'd probably be worth putting your efforts elsewhere.
